Good Morning America – Less Meat, More Fruits & Veggies

This morning on Good Morning America there was a segment on nutrition. In this segment they revealed the new USDA 2010 Food Pyramid. The recommendation is that we all eat less meat and more fruits and veggies. It’s about time the USDA has publicly acknowledged that this is the key to managing your weight and encompassing total health.

This is the way humans were meant to eat. Pretend for a second that you live in the vast wilderness as we once did and not in an industrialized nation with factories and the like. How would you eat? You would eat mostly fruits and vegetables because they are most abundant. An occasional animal would become food if you could catch it. The point is try to think in terms of eating like a bushman. Eat foods as nature gave them to us.

July “Relay For Life” Fundraiser

Ok. It’s time to do something good for your community while doing something good for yourself. July is “Relay For Life Fundraising Month” at MBG.

Come on by every Saturday in July @ 10:00am and workout with us. Cost is $10 Donation that goes to the Moorpark Relay for Life.

Moorpark Saints Football

Monkey Bar Gymnasium LA would like to thank the Moorpark Saints Football team for having us out to their Football Registration Picnic. All the teams had a great time running through our obstacle conditioning course (and some of the adults also). We are looking forward to working with the Saints.
