Looking Forward to another Challenge
-
As we prepare for another 60 Day Challenge, (we do a challenge several times a year to enhance focus and continue to improve) starting April 30th. I think it necessary to share with you my personal philosophy regarding the use of a time of “focused attention”.
I have adopted from my friend a true warrior in both the physical and spiritual sense Richard “Mack” Machowicz “Unleash the Warrior within” the following seven principles for personal growth.
Bukido Code of the Warrior Spirit
1. I will be responsible for my life and my actions.
2. I will concentrate all the energy of my body and mind on one specific target at a time.
3. I will develop the ability to remain calm and composed, for even in the worst situations I will find opportunity.
4. I will spend my time wisely, for it is too precious a commodity to waste.
5. I will continually CHALLENGE myself to learn by exposing myself to others with skills greater than my own.
6. I will develop patience in all things, for it is the essential quality of a powerful mind.
7. I will make my capabilities exceed my limitations.
Having adopted these principles some time ago, I continually return to them when I feel I have slipped into complacency. I am as most of us are energy conservationists aka Lazy, and will return to old behavior if we do not remain diligent. This is what we mean by being a Warrior at MBG the process of not allowing yourself to slip into complacency to continually Challenge yourself to do better tomorrow than you did today.
Our next Challenge begins on Saturday will you answer the call or will you allow yourself to slip into the slumber of complacency? TAKE the Call.About the Author:
