Monkey Bar Gym LA Thousand Oaks Grand Opening Proceeds to Benefit Angel City Pit Bulls

  • We are proud to announce that our friends at Angel City Pit Bulls will join us in celebration at the Grand Opening of our new Thousand Oaks location at 3255 East Thousand Oaks Blvd.

    Angel City Pit Bulls (ACPB) is a 501©(3) non-profit organization, dedicated to bettering the lives of pitbulls in The City of Angels. They do this through adoptions, education, advocacy, and the promotion of responsible pet ownership.

    Monkey Bar Gym LA co-owner, and Pit Bull lover, Kevin Lewis, adopted his Pit Bull from ACPB.

    We are asking for attendees to make a suggested donation at the door to ANGEL CITY PIT BULLS! ACPB will also have a table at the event with informational pamphlets (maybe some dogs!?) and a donation jar of course :-)

    Why they do what they do:
    Pitbulls are the most common breed of dog entering our animal shelters. Sadly, they are also the same breed that has the least likelihood of ever making it out alive. Reasons for this crisis include irresponsible owners, irresponsible breeders, and harsh prejudice and stigma in our society. We are working hard to change this reality in our community, and improve the lives of all our citizens – human and animal alike.

    ACPB covers all costs,including training, medical care, and supplies – all that a foster must do is provide a nurturing home for one of our dogs – to heal their hearts, and show them what the good life is all about!

    Be part of this lifesaving crusade – it will be tough to find any experience more rewarding than being a foster!

Since its opening, the Monkey Bar Gym’s mission has been to create a revolution in health and fitness with a primary focus on “function” rather than “fashion” or “trends”. The MBG focuses on intuitive, skill-based movements that do not require any machines and can be performed anywhere, inside or outside a gym. The staff of the Monkey Bar Gym trains members to rely on their instincts for the basics of movements to train. These basic movements include; running, jumping, crawling, climbing, rolling and reacting.
