Good Morning America – Less Meat, More Fruits & Veggies
This morning on Good Morning America there was a segment on nutrition. In this segment they revealed the new USDA 2010 Food Pyramid. The recommendation is that we all eat less meat and more fruits and veggies. It’s about time the USDA has publicly acknowledged that this is the key to managing your weight and encompassing total health.
This is the way humans were meant to eat. Pretend for a second that you live in the vast wilderness as we once did and not in an industrialized nation with factories and the like. How would you eat? You would eat mostly fruits and vegetables because they are most abundant. An occasional animal would become food if you could catch it. The point is try to think in terms of eating like a bushman. Eat foods as nature gave them to us.
